Responsibilities:Manage the construction process for various open store environment CapEx projects in existing stores, including Renovations, Remodels, Refreshes, Shop n Shop rollouts.Manage 30-60 (+) (monthly) projects simultaneously, of varying types, costs, and complexities. Maintain clear and effective communication with both internal and external Family Dollar partners regarding the progress, timelines, and status of ongoing projects, as well as any upcoming initiatives.Conduct site visits to assess the scope of work for upcoming projects, evaluate the quality of ongoing work, and take necessary actions to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.Collaborate with the Director and Manager of Special Projects to recommend the selection of general contractors, following the review, qualification, and clarification of contractor bids during the vetting process. Award projects based on a detailed cost analysis in comparison to the provided budget for each initiative.Negotiate and provide cost estimates for assigned initiatives as required.Monitor deliverables, processes, schedules, and costs to ensure that both General Contractors and vendors meet established Family Dollar quality standards and financial requirements.Effectively solicit, train, onboard, and manage General Contractors to ensure successful project execution.Recommend opportunities for process improvements.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Projects.
Qualifications:3-5+ years of construction project management experience in the retail sector, including tenant improvements and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously across a multi-state region.Willingness and ability to travel as needed or directed.Experience and knowledge of store fixturing, planning operations, and/or merchandising.Skilled in MS Office, with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Desired Qualifications:Technical training and/or experience in the areas of mechanical, electrical and/or structural.College degree in a management, project management or construction related field.
