Fastener's Area Controller: (Brea, California; Mexico; and Ireland)
Position Overview: As the Fastener's Area Controller, you will serve as the principal financial business partner to local plant leadership across our Brea, California; CAM Mexico; and Panalok Ireland manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities: + Local Leadership Partnership: Serve as the primary financial advisor to local plant leaders at the Fasteners' sites, providing the counsel needed to support daily operations and strategic initiatives to deliver plant commitments, and financial targets. + Cross-Site Synchronization: Ensure fluid financial operations and reporting alignment between the CAM Fasteners' sites to maintain a cohesive regional financial picture. + Strategic Decision Support: Partner with site leaders to analyze business cases, model scenarios, and evaluate investments, ensuring data-driven decisions that enhance individual plant performance. + Performance Visibility: Develop and deliver clear, actionable reporting that empowers plant teams to understand key drivers, achieve their specific targets, and answer the next set of business questions before they arise. + Continuous Improvement: Champion process excellence by standardizing business processes across both sites to eliminate waste; and boost data reliability. + Regional Cost Development: Lead standard costing activities for all CAM Fasteners' sites, including annual cost rolls, labor/overhead rates, and BOM/routing audits in partnership with local operations. + Advanced Variance Analysis: Own daily and weekly variance tracking (PPV, labor efficiency, and volume) to provide plant leaders with the insights needed for immediate operational course correction. + Project & New Product Costing: Collaborate with engineering and operations to provide pro-forma cost estimates and margin analysis for new projects and bids. + Area Controllership: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements for multiple P&Ls across the CAM Fastener's operations. + Planning & Forecasting: Lead all budgeting, multi-year planning, and intra-year forecasting activities for the area. + Compliance & Reporting: Direct month-end and quarterly closing processes, ensure strict SOX compliance, and continuously improve internal controls. + Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential financial or operational risks within the Fastener's business to maintain a strong control environment. Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred). + 10+ years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record as a principal business partner to plant leadership (Required). + Proficiency in ERP systems (JD Edwards, HFM), advanced Excel, and BI tools (Power BI), with extensive experience in full P&L ownership. + A collaborative, influential leader capable of aligning finance with local operations and driving cross-functional initiatives across international border. + High integrity, a continuous improvement mindset, a service-oriented approach, and exceptional communication skills Howmet Aerospace Inc.
