Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Join a dynamic team that provides mission critical business development and capture skills to BAE Systems advanced technology and research organization, FAST Labs. Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. In this role, you ll have the opportunity to work with the teams creating and developing advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing. We are seeking a leader to work with multiple technology areas within FAST Labs with responsibilities for new business development and technology transition working with scientists and technologists to identify, develop, and capture research and development opportunities across our technology portfolio. Success in this role will require energetic and proactive leadership, an external and collaborative personality, and a passion for being part of a team that is bringing new technologies from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
+ Building internal and external relationships
+ Effectively communicating technical information orally, graphically, and in writing. Composing and articulating the benefits of a range of component and system-level solutions that meet the customer needs
+ Identifying and facilitating transition opportunities for technologies into useful and practical military or commercial applications through partnerships across BAE Systems Electronic Systems business areas
+ Capturing new Science and Technology (S&T) business - from initial concept development to influencing the US Government s acquisition approach through delivery of the proposal focused on advanced electronics, advanced sensors, effectors, and processing
+ Managing business development pipelines and qualifying opportunities
+ Managing budgets
+ Growing and mentoring others
This position is available in multiple locations in the United States.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s Degree (preferably in engineering, science, or math)
+ 12 years of professional experience
+ Proven ability to establish enduring relationships with US Government thought leaders within the Science & Technology community: DoD (DARPA, ONR, ARL, NRL, AFRL); the Intelligence Community (IARPA); and other Government organizations (DHS, FAA)
+ The ability to work independently with limited direction
+ Active Secret level clearance
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s Degree or Doctorate in engineering, science, or math
+ Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Advanced processors, Advanced EO/IR and RF transceivers, Artificial intelligence, Communications and networking, Computer Science/Engineering, Data fusion, Object recognition, Open architecture sensor and processor development, Intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, Multi-domain operations
+ DoD, Intelligence Community, or other Government experience
+ Experience conducting competitive analysis, market assessment, and price-to-win studies
+ Experience with Business Development tools (i.e. Salesforce)
+ Eligible for Top Secret clearance
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
