Description: This is work assisting professionals in the field of Child Welfare to provide client services as well as support for families.  Transportation of children is the primary responsibility but incumbents will be required to assist child protection professionals and/or social workers with clerical unit functions and/or other duties necessary to resolve problems relevant to child abuse, and/or neglect. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: + Coordinates necessary transportation for families. + Maintains state vehicles clean and in good working order by performing minor preventive maintenance such as proper tire inflation and fluid levels. + Assists investigators in maintaining a caseload of families receiving social services. + Maintains liaison with community agencies and service organizations in order to determine the results of services rendered to individual clients + Provides phone and client contact support. + Submits and reviews reports and problems with the supervisor. + Maintains and updates client files. + Keeps records and prepares reports. + Participates in training.
