The ProMedica Monroe Family Medicine Residency is an 8-8-8 program with a strong emphasis on broad-spectrum training. As the only residency within the hospital, our program offers unique, comprehensive exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences. Faculty are actively involved in inpatient medicine, addiction medicine, geriatric care – including nursing home, newborn rounding, osteopathic manipulations and obstetrics. The program places a strong focus on procedural training, with faculty performing vasectomies, paracentesis, and colposcopy, along with numerous dermatologic, musculoskeletal, and gynecologic procedures.
