The Department of Genome Sciences in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia (https://med.virginia.edu/genome-sciences/) invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. These hires are a central part of a major strategic investment by the University of Virginia to build a world-class Department of Genome Sciences. Established in 2024, the Department is expanding rapidly with the vision of becoming a national leader in genetics and genomics research. We seek ambitious and innovative scientists who will bring creative and integrative approaches to understanding complex traits, disease biology, and technology development across molecular, cellular, organismal, and population scales. We also welcome researchers pursuing translational directions, applying genetic discoveries to generate clinical insight. **Research Areas of Interest** Candidates are expected to lead experimental (wet-lab) research programs, and we especially welcome applicants whose work integrates both experimental and computational approaches.
