Job Description:
The College of Health and Human Services is accepting applications to create a pool of qualified faculty to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Nursing. We are seeking part time faculty for day and evening classes at the main campus location.
Part-time instructors are responsible for teaching their assigned courses and working with the assigned course and program coordinator to assure continued quality of the nursing curriculum and program outcomes. Part-time faculty are supervised by the full-time course coordinator or program coordinator, but are responsible for their own instruction, communication with students, and grading, including entering final grades in Topnet. Part-time faculty are required to check their WKU email daily while employed by WKU as this is a primary communication route between students and faculty and between administration and faculty.
Instructor:
A part-time instructor is a non-tenure-eligible faculty member who may be employed to teach either didactic and/or clinical sections as needed. This is a one semester appointment that assuming both favorable performance reviews and enrollment picture in the program, may be renewable.

Licensure as an RN in Kentucky or a compact stateMasters degree in Nursing. A minimum of two-years of nursing practice within the last five years or recent clinical teaching experience.Licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (APRN-FNP) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN-PMNHP) is required to teach clinical sections in the graduate nursing program.
