The Faculty Affairs Manager will support the Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
This role will be a hybrid position following a fully onsite training period.
**Job Description:**
The Manager for Faculty Affairs is a critical member of the Department’s leadership team and requires excellent customer service and attention to detail. The Manager serves as the primary liaison for all Faculty Affairs matters for the HMFP/APHMFP and the Department to both internal and external stakeholders, including significant focus on recruitment for the DFCI collaboration. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of faculty recruitment, onboarding, faculty teaching appointments and promotions, ongoing credentialing and contracting needs. Coordinates with Department Chair and CAO, along with Section Chiefs across the Department to manage and oversee all components of Faculty Affairs.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):**
+ Manages all recruitment efforts across the Department, keeping track of open positions, postings and candidates for interview.
+ Assists with management of the faculty pipeline of trainees, in-conjunction with physician leadership across each Section.
+ Manages the credentialing, onboarding and visa related matters for all new faculty hires. Also oversees all aspects of physician off-boarding to ensure seamless transitions in each section.
+ Works closely with Department Chair to oversee academic appointment process, including initial appointment and promotions through Harvard Medical School. Helps in identifying eligible faculty for faculty appointments and provides guidance in coordinating dossier documentation in collaboration with Section Chiefs.
+ Administers and coordinates faculty development and leadership programs.
+ Keeps accurate records of all faculty contracts and changes in collaboration with Department CAO.
+ Manages faculty affairs projects under the direction of the Chair and CAO.
+ Develops, organizes and implements administrative processes and systems to ensure the smooth flow of operations in the Faculty Affairs Department.
+ Oversees division faculty with compiling format compliant CV, teaching portfolio, referee tracking list and publication submission.
+ Maintains faculty appointment database.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Medical Education required.
+ 3-5 years related work experience required in healthcare or medical education, including 1-3 years ofsupervisory/managementexperience.
+ Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
