What you will do -
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily facilities and building maintenance.
Respond and resolve customer service requests, maintaining a customer-centric attitude
Utilize basic tools/equipment to repair general building equipment including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, machine repair, HVAC, furniture moves, spot painting and/or cleaning, light construction and/or exterior cleanup
Work with outside contractors on building and equipment repairs
Verify labor expended and materials used, and inspect projects for conformance to engineering standards and codes, building techniques and safety practices
Estimate percent completion of projects and advise designated individuals of cost status
Will utilize computer software for maintenance record keeping, data entry, procedure forms and spreadsheets
May coordinate the construction, installation or rearrangement of equipment and building facilities and/or equipment and machinery maintenance for assigned area
May perform other activities such as audio-visual (AV) set up for meetings or conferences, inter-office mail deliveries, wastepaper recycling, and stocking of employee break areas
Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends and on-call responses during all hours
What you need:
Required -
High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years’ relevant work experience
Ability to occasionally maneuver and lift up to 45 pounds
Preferred -
Associates degree
Experience in general building maintenance in a customer-facing environment
Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
