Facility Security Officer and Office Manager
The Huntsville office is a critical center of operations for Bell. We interact daily with the Portfolio Acquisition Executive – Maneuver Air, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, and Army Material Command. We serve as a conduit for the various Bell Program Managers and U.S. Army Aviation Project Managers. This role is integral in facilitating multiple meetings between Bell and our customers. The Facility Manager's purview extends from fostering intra-office communication and optimizing administrative processes to maintaining inventory control, coordinating with office staff, and delegating tasks. Assist HR in employee onboarding and offboarding, procurement of office supplies and program support items, facilitation of facility and IT maintenance requests, coordination of records management, and the oversight of environmental health and safety initiatives. This role actively contributes to efficient departmental operations and administrative endeavors, independently devising solutions to address challenges. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities on establishing security procedures and management of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) requirements for the Huntsville Office. Serving alongside the co-located Huntsville SMO, you both will liaise with the US Government and Bell Global Security.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Facility Security Officer and Office Manager
Develop and implement organizational procedures and systems to streamline office administration while ensuring compliance with local ordinances for logistical requirements, such as product demonstrations.Manage supply and equipment orders based on operational needs and coordinate multiple meetings and conferences simultaneously.Manage clearance actions, including initial submissions, reinvestigations, fingerprinting, and status reporting to program managers.Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals per 32 CFR Part 117.Interpret government policies and translate them into company security procedures and internal policies.Oversee Facility Clearance requirements, access controls, and onsite classified briefings.Coordinate and support all DCSA inspections and compliance activities.Run the “Document Inventory and Control Program” for classified systems, media, and documents while supervising daily security operations.Manage access control, badges, visit authorizations in DISS, support SIPRNET capability, and conduct regular self-inspections for security, insider threat, and CUI.We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. In depth understanding of security manuals, regulations, Executive Orders; to include NISPOM Rule 32 CFR Part 117In depth understanding of U.S Army organization and stakeholdersIf not already FSO certified, ability to obtain certification as FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU within 45 days of startingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess advanced computer skillsMust be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent foresight and problem-solving skillsWhat You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field5 years of overall experience as a Facility Security Officer, Office Manager, and/or Administrative AssistantAbility to obtain Government Secret Clearance is requiredActive Government Secret Security Clearance is preferredExperience working with government security program management including Initiating eApplications (eApp) in The National Background Investigation Services system (NBIS), Defense Information Security System (DISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), Defense Information System, and National Industrial Security System (NISS) preferredWhat we offer you in return
