Facility Purchasing Clerk
Clean Harbors
As a Facility Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the purchasing database, assisting the Procurement Manager, and supporting inventory control for the site. This role involves cycle counting, forklift operations, and organizing vendor items to ensure accuracy and efficiency in purchasing and inventory processes. This position offers **no travel** and a consistent schedule.
+ Ensure information entered into the purchasing database is accurate and properly approved prior to entry.
+ Maintain Oracle item and vendor database, including creating IDs, updating pricing, and generating vendor/item reports.
+ Perform monthly cycle counts and assist with full annual physical inventory.
+ Receive, stock, organize, and put away incoming materials and supplies.
+ Operate forklift and other material handling equipment (including boom lift if needed) to move and store items safely.
+ Support stocking and vendor item organization within the facility.
+ Collaborate with a small team of four to complete purchasing and inventory tasks.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ 1+ years of purchasing support or related administrative experience preferred.
+ 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience required (Excel proficiency strongly preferred).
+ Computer-savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly.
+ Forklift operation experience required (certification a plus).
+ Strong organizational and customer service skills.
+ Ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team.
+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs and handle material deliveries from carriers such as FedEx/UPS.
