Performs work relative to the installation, renovation, construction, repair, maintenance, and inspection of facilities for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) Fleet Services Division.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform assigned work relative to installation, renovation, construction, repair, maintenance, and inspection of facilities involving electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic or piping, and work to include, but not limited to, bus and rail vehicle repair facilities and associated support systems, buildings and support systems, transit centers, park and ride lots, bus shelters, route signs, etc.Install, maintain, repair, and/or adjust bus and rail repair equipment such as air compressors, bus washers, blowers, overhead doors, air conditioning systems, metering devices, bus lifts, cleaning systems, and other servicing equipment.Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance.Operate heavy construction equipment in performing work such as backhoe, concrete breakers, saws, mixers, tampers, etc.Promote established safety, training, and quality assurance programs; clean work area.Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
