Job Title: Facility Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing maintenance for all equipment, buildings, facilities, hard services and able to handle projects primarily under $100K but some could be over $100K if not complicated. Engineering services include hands-on troubleshooting and working with vendors on long term improvements and solutions. The Plant Engineer prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for construction, rearrangements, maintenance and facilities installation. Schedules and arranges work on projects in accordance with on site schedules to minimize interruption for the customer. Supervises and inspects work in progress to determine that work meets specifications. Outlines projects and prepares 3 and 5 year capital plans for improvements. Key stake holder in all on site audits both internal and external

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise/coordinate maintenance function.  Prioritized work assignments; provide feedback for progress or problems to solution. Expedite repairs in most cost efficient and timely manner Study, recommend and implement programs that prevent machinery breakdowns. Make suggestions and improvements in our maintenance program and help the team become more efficient Manage all hard services Ensure safe work practices are implemented and followed Provide project management for facilities expansion/renovation projects.  Ensure on time completion of projects within budget Deal with local and outside vendors in the acquisition, replacement or new materials for machinery or equipment.  Also work with outside vendors on execution of work Direct efforts of contract labor projects Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for moderately complex building construction, rearrangements, maintenance, facilities installation and floor layouts Perform other duties as assigned.  As a member of the team, the plant engineer contributes and supports the team and leadership to achieve all goals and objectives Available to assist in emergency/critical situations until normal operations are resumed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience 7 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
