Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds at our global tire testing proving ground in Uvalde, TX. This role involves hands-on work across multiple trades including plumbing, drywall, tile, sprinkler systems, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining a high standard of facility readiness to support world-class tire testing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure including plumbing systems, sprinkler heads, drywall, tile, doors, windows, and lighting.Conduct repairs and installations related to building systems and fixtures.Support grounds maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and outdoor facility upkeep.Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.Assist with seasonal facility preparations and weather-related maintenance tasks.Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes.Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support facility needs for testing activities.Effective communication on all tasks with supervisor/manager / online tools.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or general building repair.Working knowledge of plumbing, drywall repair, tile installation, sprinkler systems, and basic electrical.Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

Technical or vocational training in building maintenance or related tradesExperience in an industrial or testing facility environment.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems are a plus.Basic knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.Intermediate computer skills
