We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair of equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of a Central Utility Plant on an assigned shift.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
** This position has a pay rate of $20 - $22/hr **
Responsibilities- Assist with inspections and monitoring of pumps, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors and related equipment
- Support preventive maintenance activities including lubrication, filter changes, belt adjustments, cleaning and general upkeep
- Record equipment readings (pressure, temperature, flow, amperage) and report abnormal conditions
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as lamp replacement and tightening connections under supervision
- Assist with lockout/tagout procedures and routine electrical checks
- Assist with basic plumbing repairs involving domestic water systems, valves, drains and hydronic piping
- Support minor carpentry and general building maintenance tasks such as drywall patching, door hardware replacement, painting and equipment room upkeep
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders and material handling equipment
- Communicate safety concerns or equipment issues promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- An interest in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or facilities maintenance
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
