Title: BMS, Access Control, and CCTV Systems Operator
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and vigilant professional to oversee our integrated Building Management System (BMS), Access Control, and CCTV operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless functioning of these interconnected systems to maintain building efficiency, security, and safety. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong decision-making skills in both routine operations and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Management System (BMS):
Monitor and manage daily BMS operations, ensuring optimal functioning of HVAC, lighting, and other integrated building systems.Analyze system data to identify trends and anomalies, recommending improvements for energy efficiency and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve BMS-related issues promptly to maintain occupant comfort and system efficiency.Assist in programming and configuring BMS software as needed.Access Control:
Manage and monitor the building's access control system, including card readers, turnstiles, and door locks.Process access card requests, activations, and deactivations in a timely manner.Maintain accurate records of access permissions and generate reports as required.Respond to access-related incidents and alarms, coordinating with security personnel when necessary.CCTV Operations:
Monitor CCTV feeds in real-time, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.Operate CCTV equipment, including pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, to track and record incidents as they occur.Maintain CCTV archives and assist in retrieving footage for investigations or audits when required.Ensure all CCTV equipment is functioning correctly, reporting any malfunctions for prompt repair.Integrated Systems Management:
Coordinate the operation of BMS, Access Control, and CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive building security and efficiency.Respond to alarms and alerts across all systems, prioritizing and escalating issues as needed.Generate integrated reports that provide insights into building operations, security incidents, and system performance.General Duties:
Maintain accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and system changes across BMS, Access Control, and CCTV systems.Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures related to building systems and security.Participate in regular training to stay updated on system operations, security protocols, and emergency procedures.Collaborate with facilities management, security teams, and IT departments to ensure smooth integration of all systems.Required Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Security Management, or related field.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building management systems, access control, or CCTV operations.Proficiency in BMS software platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls).Experience with access control systems and CCTV monitoring software.Strong understanding of building systems, security principles, and emergency response procedures.Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure.Proficient in data analysis and report generation.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CBCP, CPO, CSSP).Experience in a multi-system integration environment.Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to building control and security systems.Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring multiple screens.May require occasional physical activity, including walking throughout the facility and handling equipment.Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.This job description combines the key aspects of BMS operation with access control and CCTV monitoring duties.
