Role Purpose

JLL are looking to recruit a trade qualified Painter with a background in either facilities or of that of a general handyman, this role will include painting (70% of the time) with the other duties made up of general facilities duties including moving furniture and other physical duties as well as supporting the wider team with tasks as needed.

What this job involves

The Facilities Technician/Painter works as part of a facilities team and will be directly accountable for the following typical activities:Work with the onsite facilities team to ensure planned preventative and reactive tasks are completedPerform all painting duties in line with building requirementsSupport wider events team in terms of set ups/screens/props etcRegularly work with external contractors, e.g. M&E contractor, cleaning, AV, fit out contractors etcResolve facilities related problems with conference rooms, interior furnishings, fixtures and equipment.Provides support for the wider facilities and events team in terms of updating tasks/supporting vendorsPerform fabric related repairs including handyman repairs, building of items required within the office, painting works etcCarry out quality audits of across all offices including furniture and equipment on a regular basis, logging all issues and ensuring actions are completed on timeProvide support for meetings and conference room repairs, bathroom repairs, MK and restaurant repairsAct collaboratively to solve problems and resolve spontaneous and unique situations with professionalism and service orientation.Ensure completion of daily checks and delivery of committed services and overall client satisfaction Demonstrate responsiveness and creativity in finding solutions for service deliveryEnsure appropriate follow up with customersSeek to continuously improve processes, systems and overall client satisfactionWork with the internal Task system to keep track of all requested Facilities work and close out actionsaccording to SLAs.Work as part overall FM team on facilities related tasks including first line fix, post room support, events support, replacement of light bulbs and manual handlingAd hoc duties from time to time to support the rest of the facilities team

Experience in a hands-on role working within an events environment and facilities environmentTechnical qualification or trade essential, manual handling training essentialOutstanding customer service skills and orientationAbility to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situationsAbility to multitask and work without direct supervisionProficient in MS Office, and possess excellent written and verbal communication and people skillsProficiency in Outlook desirable but not essentialPrevious experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-national environmentMinimum of 2 years in related role as a trade qualified painter, in particular within a facilities, entertainment and customer environmentMust be able to demonstrate flexibility in relation to type of works carried out and availability
