Job Title: Facilities TechnicianJob Description

As a Facilities Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and serviceability of our facilities. You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and assisting in the repair of buildings and grounds in the assigned areas. Your ability to adapt to customer needs and maintain a positive demeanor will be essential in delivering exceptional customer service.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.Adapt to customer needs and provide solutions.Repair various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, and office equipment.Inspect assigned areas routinely and perform necessary maintenance to keep facilities in functioning and serviceable condition.Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.Report any major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions as appropriate.Demonstrate efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.Commit to professional growth and competence by adhering to training commitments.
Essential SkillsSpecific experience in plumbing and carpentry.6+ months of building maintenance experience within apartment complexes or hotels.Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis.Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and email communication.Customer service experience in previous roles.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with maintenance repair, building maintenance, and facilities maintenance.Skills in HVAC, electrical work, painting, lighting, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This role is based at a hotel in San Francisco. Coverage is needed from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 7 days a week. Shifts are Friday to Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Shifts may change based on hotel needs. The role does not involve entering occupied hotel rooms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
