Facilities Project Manager, Healthcare Construction

What this job involves:

As a Project Manager specializing in healthcare facilities at JLL, you will serve as an extension of our client's Facilities Management department, focusing on managing small capital projects across multiple healthcare sites throughout Cook County. This role ensures seamless execution while maintaining operational continuity in these critical environments. You'll serve as the primary point of contact between contractors, vendors, facility staff, and healthcare stakeholders while coordinating with clinical departments to minimize disruptions to patient care during construction activities. Your expertise in healthcare-specific regulations and facility operations will be essential in ensuring all projects comply with ICRA, ILSM, TJC, and IDPH requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like:Manage multiple small to medium-sized capital improvement projects simultaneously across various healthcare facilitiesServe as primary point of contact between contractors, vendors, facility staff, and healthcare stakeholdersDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations while coordinating with clinical departmentsEnsure all projects comply with healthcare-specific regulations (ICRA, ILSM, TJC, IDPH)Prepare and present regular project status updates to key stakeholdersManage bidding process, contractor selection, and contract administrationConduct site inspections to verify quality and compliance with project specificationsProcess invoices and manage financial aspects of assigned projects while documenting project changes and maintaining accurate recordsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years specifically in healthcare environmentsStrong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and facility operationsExperience managing projects in occupied healthcare settingsProficient with project management software and Microsoft Office suiteExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to read and interpret construction documents and technical specificationsExpert knowledge of healthcare construction protocols (ICRA, ILSM)Preferred Qualifications:Strong technical knowledge of building systems common in healthcare facilitiesAbility to prioritize effectively and manage multiple concurrent projectsProblem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions in dynamic environmentsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with healthcare facility compliance and inspection processesKnowledge of clinical department operations and patient care considerationsUnderstanding of healthcare equipment and infrastructure requirementsLocation:

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 – 115,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
