The Opportunity 

This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location.

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. 

What You’ll Do  

Interact with construction and design firms on the scope of program management, execution, and cost control of projects related to the campus infrastructure and its necessities.Use methodologies so the campus and facilities projects can be done on time and at the best cost possible.Report the results by means of metrics as established by our clients, management and business expectations.Supervise and perform projects related to the continuous improvement of our campus existing facilities and utilities.By means of problem solving technics, performs troubleshooting of all facilities systems under its supervision.Explore and identify improvements to our existing facilities in order to comply with both internal clients and government authoritiesParticipates as a liaison between outside contractors, government and regulatory agencies.Supervise Facilities Technicians as part of the day to day operation.

Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or Civil Engineering.3 - 5 years experience internal and/or external in a regulated industry (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device) construction and renovation projects.

At least 3+ years of experience in HVAC (air compressors, potable water, RODI systems, Fire Protection, Wastewater Treatment Plants, others) equipment selection, operation and maintenance.

Solid Experience in cleanrooms & layout and manufacturing process electromechanical, civil and architectural design.

Good knowledge of OSHA Standards & cGMP’s.

Intermediate level of English.

Preferred Qualifications 

  A post degree on project management a plus.
