Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of facilities equipment and systems to identify issues and potential problems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facility equipment according to established schedules. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls to address issues and minimize downtime. Install new equipment or components as required, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Collaborate with other maintenance team members and contractors to complete projects and tasks efficiently. Follow safety procedures and regulations while working with equipment and handling hazardous materials. Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans and strategies to optimize facility performance and longevity. Participate in a rotating emergency call-in shift as part of facilities trade employee responsibilities.Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent 6+ years of relevant experienceSkills
Possess the ability to read blueprints and interpret electrical schematics, controls schematics and mechanical drawings. Possess knowledge of pneumatic controls, thermostats, receiver-controllers, and related control devices to be able to repair and/or replace. Ability to isolate and repair failed components and calibrate systems. Possess an understanding of how a ventilation system works and be able to troubleshoot, balance, and repair air distribution systems. Has strong interpersonal/teaming skills to communicate and effectively interact with all levels of the organization and to effectively work with outside contractors, vendors and suppliers.Working Conditions
Will be exposed to areas where hand tools and power tools are being operated. Will be exposed to areas where hazardous chemicals or gases are stored. Ability to work in a clean room environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirementPhysical Requirements
Must be able to bend, reach, twist, turn and climb normally associated with construction work. Must be able to lift 60 pounds unassisted. Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift Ability to perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawlingSafety Requirements
