What this job involves:
Delivery of the Facilities team services to operate and maintain key premises with the Australia Post portfolio, including any designated financial, technical, maintenance, procurement, asset and vendor management programs, and to provide support to wider facilities management team administration duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.
It is critical for this role to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business to ensure that service delivery expectations are met without introducing financial or tenure risk.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring achievement of Facilities KPIs as well as identifying and implementing strategies to mitigate risk associated with the Australia Post account.
About the role:
Drive the property risk management program, including occupational health and safety, security, fire safety, essential services, and environmental management to ensure statutory compliance of buildings and assets.Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning is implemented and maintained across the portfolio, with proper escalation procedures for incident and problem reporting.Conduct regular building inspections and complete associated reports within governance timeframes, maintaining a register detailing site compliance with all applicable laws.Manage facilities vendors and coordinate facilities works in conjunction with JLL Projects & Development Services account team, ensuring operational and technical requirements are met.Proactively develop and manage Australia Post business unit relationships to achieve expected service levels, evaluating service response times and analyzing occupants' service request trends.Work with Finance team to review financial reports, prepare variance analysis, and assist in the budgeting process, including reviews with Australia Post Management.Develop cost-saving initiatives and strategies that lead to service improvements while ensuring meaningful inputs are captured in monthly management reports.Lead and coach the team to ensure high staff morale, trust and work ethics, actively encouraging an environment that supports teamwork and performance excellence.Monitor Help Desk/service outputs to achieve or exceed standards against agreed KPIs and service level targets, reporting regularly to key stakeholders.Ensure data integrity in facilities services delivery systems across the site in collaboration with the Digital Team, including periodic audits of system data.Sounds exciting? At least three years of experience in managing and delivering infrastructure asset management and maintenance strategies in a commercial or deliveries and logistics environment
Demonstrated skills in rigorous, fact-based analyses that drive creative problem solving, proposal preparation, and negotiations.
Persuasive written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong multi-tasking and organizational capabilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
Electrical, mechanical and/or a related engineering/trade field.
Facilities Management experience
Commitment to continuous improvement, motivated ‘can-do’ attitude, and results-oriented.
Promotes open, constructive and collaborative relations with colleagues and clients.
Likes being part of a high performing team.
