We are seeking an experienced **Part-Time Facilities/Maintenance Manager** to lead the hotel’s maintenance function and ensure our facilities consistently meet the highest standards of safety, presentation and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, contractor management and the ongoing upkeep of the hotel’s physical assets. You will work collaboratively across all departments to deliver a seamless guest experience while creating a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
· Lead the day-to-day operation of the Engineering and Maintenance function, ensuring all hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standard.
· Develop, implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs to maximise asset performance and minimise operational disruption.
· Coordinate and respond to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring guest-impacting issues are prioritised and resolved promptly.
· Manage statutory compliance requirements, contractor servicing schedules and maintenance documentation to ensure full compliance with legislative and Hyatt standards.
· Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
· Oversee maintenance expenditure, monitor budgets and manage the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
· Identify opportunities to improve building performance, sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency and preventative maintenance practices.
· Support hotel refurbishment projects, capital works and asset improvement initiatives as required.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers and compliance documentation using hotel maintenance systems.
· Foster strong working relationships across all hotel departments, providing timely support and expert advice on maintenance matters.
· Demonstrate a hands-on approach by assisting with maintenance tasks where required, including minor repairs and general building maintenance.
· Champion a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety legislation, Hyatt policies and safe work practices.
· Lead by example, promoting collaboration, accountability and a positive team culture consistent with Hyatt’s values.
**Qualifications:**
**Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills**
· Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role within hospitality, commercial property or a comparable environment.
· Relevant trade qualification in Electrical, Building Services or a related discipline.
· Demonstrated experience managing preventative maintenance programs, contractor relationships and building compliance.
· Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, statutory compliance requirements and Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced operational environment.
· Hands-on technical capability with the flexibility to undertake maintenance repairs when required.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop positive working relationships across departments.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
· High level of computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems.
· A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
