Facilities Manager - Data Center
What this job involves –
The Facility Manager will serve as site ambassador providing general Facilities Management services, including overseeing property management operations, procurement of property supplies, vendor coordination / services, work order management, and bid requests.
The FM may also supervise & support personnel responsible for all non-critical building services, data center operational team support services, and pantry/café coffee and condiments inventory control.
What is your day to day?
Manage third-party contractors/vendors in operating and maintaining the property. Communicate KPI and SLA requirements to vendors in a timely way and partner to identify service delivery improvements and savings; manage third-party contractors/vendors with respect to work order completionOversee daily work order review; follow up on work orders to ensure successful service delivery and customer experienceSchedule and manage vendor performance of all Preventative and Recurring Maintenance activities for assigned propertiesAssist in meeting or exceeding Site KPIsRecommend continuous quality improvement practicesProvide quality analysis of customer feedback on an ongoing basis; develop effective response plans and implement per the planDemonstrate collaboration and teamwork with account wide team and proactively share and apply all learning, successes, and best practicesGreet customers, vendors, job applicants, and other visitors, escort visitors to their designated areas when necessaryProvide guidance or resolution to end-user on data center services (i.e. Copy, MFD, Deliveries, Campus Logistics, Facilities Maintenance, Rest Rooms, Critical Infrastructure, Landscaping, and IT)Reserve and manage (compliance / quality) collaborative spaces and conference / meeting / training rooms; reset collaborative spaces for next use, issue work tickets for maintenance requests and tech issues relating to the scope of servicesUtilizing a CMMS to manage vendors, work orders, quote acceptance, and invoice authorizationProvide guidance, requests, and basic training to contractors and vendors on campus accessibility proceduresMaintain working relationships with in-house and local catering companies for services in the lunchroom/breakroomProvide Shipping & Receiving services; assist in prepping any outgoing packagesPeriodic reviews of vendors including audits of services providedWorking with operations team to create SOWs for contracted vendorsRelationship Management
Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with client representatives and service providers at each assigned property. Provide accurate and prompt assistance to all customer inquiries and requests with a commitment to maintain a spirit of hospitalityCoordinate special events in support of client or JLLAssist Facility Management Team with tactical planning for the team’s goals and objectivesPurchasing and Inventory Control: ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies (i.e. water treatment chemicals, HVAC supplies, lighting, ceiling tiles, paint, electrical, and plumbing supplies)Preparing and submitting purchase order requestsVerifying the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and descriptionPerforming periodic safety and inventory checks of property toolsSafety and Compliance
Support compliance with JLL’s minimum audit and compliance standards in facility management, financial management, and operational policies and proceduresMaintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or LawsRecognize danger and safety hazards, complete hazard assessments and propose methods to eliminate them; maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areasMust complete all required safety trainings as scheduledComplies with all policies for the safe storage of material and supplies, usage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materialsSupport work order management by utilizing JLL’s Corrigo CMMS systemSupport facility soft services as needed and directedDesired experience and technical skills
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of two years of industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultantExcellent customer, computer, managerial, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to achieve portfolio goals and objectivesBasic knowledge of building systems (mechanical and electrical systems)Basic knowledge of shipping and receivingExperience working with a work order management system (Corrigo or Check Hub)Valid driver's licensePreferred
Managerial experience with at least 1-3 direct reports3-5 years in Data Center Facilities ManagementThis position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
