Facilities Manager – JLL

What this job involves: As a Facilities Manager at JLL, you will serve as the single point of contact for daily FM operations across assigned site(s) while providing matrix leadership to technical and administrative teams to ensure high performance, strong morale, and full alignment with FM scope expectations. This role requires you to partner with supply chain teams to define service scope, coordinate supplier walk-throughs, and oversee supplier performance at the property level while identifying opportunities for enhanced value through quality improvements, innovation, and cost optimization. You'll represent JLL professionally while fostering strong partnerships across service delivery, performance, compliance, ethics, and relationship management, working closely with the Account Director to maintain strong client service focus and ensure full compliance with contractual obligations that reflect JLL's commitment to operational excellence and comprehensive facility management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Operational Leadership:

• Serve as single point of contact for daily FM operations across assigned site(s) while ensuring seamless service delivery

• Provide matrix leadership to technical and administrative teams while ensuring high performance, strong morale, and full alignment with FM scope expectations

• Lead facility operations teams to achieve operational excellence and client satisfaction goals consistently

• Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders

• Implement operational best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across assigned facilities

Supplier & Supply Chain Collaboration:

• Partner with supply chain team to define service scope while coordinating supplier walk-throughs for optimal vendor management

• Oversee supplier performance at property level while identifying opportunities for enhanced value through quality improvements, innovation, and cost optimization

• Support both central and account-specific supply chain initiatives including governance and scorecard reviews under Experience Clean Supplier Partnership program

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements and quality standards

• Drive supplier performance improvements through regular assessments and collaborative problem-solving initiatives

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Represent JLL professionally while fostering strong partnerships across service delivery, performance, compliance, ethics, and relationship management

• Work closely with Account Director to maintain strong client service focus while ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations

• Integrate JLL Experience principles to elevate end-user experience and demonstrate value-added service delivery

• Build and maintain positive relationships with client stakeholders at all organizational levels

• Proactively address client concerns and implement solutions that exceed expectations

Financial & Commercial Management:

• Develop annual facilities budget while performing periodic budget tracking in accordance with client processes

• Provide comprehensive financial reporting while ensuring commercial targets for pricing and FM operational value are consistently met

• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality

• Manage budget variances and implement corrective actions to maintain financial performance targets

• Support commercial negotiations and contract management activities as required

Performance, KPIs & Continuous Improvement:

• Manage all facilities to achieve KPI targets while monitoring SLAs, identifying risks or performance gaps, and implementing corrective actions

• Lead implementation of site-level innovations to reduce operating costs, improve productivity, and encourage team-driven creativity in service delivery

• Participate in and deploy innovations from JLL and account-wide programs while demonstrating value of these initiatives to client

• Analyze performance data and implement best practices to drive operational excellence

• Foster culture of continuous improvement and innovation within facility operations teams

Communication & Reporting:

• Oversee all communication and reporting related to client services while ensuring clear and timely stakeholder updates

• Ensure adherence to JLL reporting protocols for commercial matters, cost management, and FM contract billing

• Prepare comprehensive reports on facility performance, financial metrics, and operational achievements

• Facilitate regular client meetings and presentations to demonstrate service value and performance outcomes

• Maintain transparent communication channels with all stakeholders for effective relationship management

Strategic Planning and Innovation:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for facility operations optimization and service enhancement

• Identify emerging trends and technologies that can improve facility management effectiveness

• Support business development activities and contribute to account growth initiatives

• Champion sustainability initiatives and environmental responsibility practices

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management required

• Minimum 5+ years of facility management experience within corporate environment or third-party service provider

• Proven track record of successful facility operations management and team leadership

Business and Financial Acumen: • Strong business acumen with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and budget management

• Understanding of commercial real estate operations and facility management best practices

• Experience with contract management and vendor relationship oversight

• Knowledge of facility management technologies and industry innovations

Leadership and Communication Skills: • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills

• Proven ability to lead matrix teams and manage cross-functional relationships effectively

• Strong client service orientation with ability to build and maintain professional relationships

• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder management at all organizational levels

Technical Competencies: • Understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and facility operations

• Experience with facility management software and reporting systems

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Understanding of supply chain management and vendor performance optimization

Professional Attributes: • Strategic thinking ability with focus on continuous improvement and innovation

• Problem-solving skills for complex operational challenges and client requirements

• Adaptability to work in dynamic environments with changing priorities

• Commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in Facility Management (CFM, FMP, etc.)

• Experience with JLL systems and processes

• Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

• Experience with large-scale corporate facility portfolios

Location: Irwindale, CA

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 – 145,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
