Facilities Manager Job ID 235778 Posted 28-Aug-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management Location(s) Chicago - Illinois - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a portfolio of 10 commercial office spaces providing oversight on building operations and maintenance for portfolio of medium sized buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. This position involves overseeing the management of facilities for local sites in the Chicago area, as well as remotely supervising sites across multiple states in the mid-west, which may include occasional out-of-state travel for onsite inspections. **What You’ll Do:** + Coordinate and manage facility repair and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors. + Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. + Oversee the daily operations of two large facilities located in the Chicago, IL area. + Supervise eight medium-sized facilities across the Midwest region from the central Chicago office, including locations in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. + Conduct weekly visits to Chicago-based sites and travel to out-of-state locations at least once annually, as needed. + Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. + Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. + Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities. + Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. + Oversee work orders and ensure that services are completed promptly. + Address and prioritize emergency support requests. + Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. ---Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. + Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. + Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. + Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $95,000 annually [or $45.67 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
