A **Facilities Manager** is sought by Stratolaunch (https://www.stratolaunch.com/) of Mojave, California to oversee the maintenance and service of the facilities, as well as manage new construction and the expansion of existing facilities. Responsibilities include generating procedures, maintaining detailed records, ensuring the site is clean presentable and organized at all times, and activities comply with health & safety, security, and government regulations. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for planning, resourcing and executing projects in accordance with schedule, performance and budget. **The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scheduling, generating statements of work, costing, and contractor management. The successful candidate will lead a team of three to five technicians, but will also lead by example, and possess a general awareness of basic building codes and regulations. This individual must also possess a customer-service mentality, outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to accept responsibility for results** .
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Manage a team of technicians to maintain and operate the site
+ Equipment – inspect & service generators, ovens, HVAC, fire systems, hangar doors, fans, compressors, dust booths, cameras, alarms
+ Shop tools – inspect & service blades, calibration, batteries, lights
+ Light construction – drywall, paint, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, welding, flooring, locks, picture frames, furniture moving & assembly
+ Routine maintenance – filters, light bulbs, batteries, lubricants, fuels
+ Support to shop – scaffolding, walkways, stairs, barriers, structures, fixtures
+ New construction
+ Work with Engineering to ensure facilities support launch vehicle operations
+ Contribute to requirements, scope, statements of work, and vendor-selection
+ Oversee execution of new construction, managing contractors, budget and schedule
+ Generate procedures and maintain detailed records
+ Training – currency, sustainment, certifications; for vehicles, equipment, machinery
+ Inspections & maintenance – equipment, shop tools, routine maintenance
+ Maintain building Drawings – Ensure modifications are incorporated
+ Work with property control to ensure site is clean, presentable and organized at all times
+ Coordinate with Mojave Air & Space Port, Kern County, state and federal officials
+ Promote a culture of safety in everything we do
+ Ensure productive, respectful, efficient work space on the site
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Facilities Management experience in maintenance, construction, safety, physical security
+ Project Management experience
+ Customer-service mentality, with diplomacy, professionalism and inter-personal skills
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
+ Detail oriented, highly organized, problem-solving and self-initializing
+ Computer skills – MS Office ( _Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook_ )
+ Valid driver’s license
+ US. Citizen
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**
+ $95,500-$150,000
+ Some college or professional certificates ( _Bachelor’s degree preferred_ )
+ 10-15 years of experience in facilities or a related field
+ 2-5 years of experience in management or leadership
+ 2-5 years of experience in light construction or individual trades
+ Knowledge of local building codes, regulations and local authorities

+ **This position is located in Mojave, CA**
+ Position could potentially involve regional day-trips to conduct pick-ups, deliveries or other business meetings in the southern California, and occasional overnight trips to other domestic locations.
+ Position may require after-hours calls in the event of an emergency situation
