Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Skechers retail stores, offices, or distribution centers. This role focuses on maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and ensuring the facility meets company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Maintenance & RepairsPerform routine inspections of building systems, including lighting, plumbing, electrical, drywall & carpentry, paint groundskeeping.Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and company guidelines.Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues.Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or major maintenance projects.Safety & ComplianceEnsure all work complies with OSHA, local building codes, and company safety policies.Maintain clean, safe work areas and respond promptly to safety hazards.Assist with emergency response procedures, including alarms, power outages, and equipment failures.Operational SupportSupport store or warehouse operations Monitor facility conditions and report issues to management.Assist with setup, relocation, or installation of fixtures, furniture, and equipment.Documentation & CommunicationMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Communicate repair needs, project updates, and safety concerns to supervisors.

QualificationsExperience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related trade Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical tasks as required.For distribution centers: experience with industrial equipment is often preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Moreno Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
