Facilities Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Perform daily preventive maintenance rounds, reporting all deficiencies to the Lead Mechanic or Chief Engineer. Respond to and repair HVAC systems, handle valves, and isolate plumbing issues. Complete minor repairs to building systems such as plumbing and HVAC, and perform preventive maintenance on designated equipment. Keep an inventory of all equipment stock including lights, filters, and restroom paper supplies, and advise the Chief Engineer when stock is low. Monitor contractor work throughout the facility, replace burned-out light bulbs, and rewire lighting ballasts as required. Perform other functions and duties as assigned. **Responsibilities** + Perform daily preventive maintenance rounds. + Report deficiencies to Lead Mechanic or Chief Engineer. + Respond to and repair HVAC systems. + Isolate plumbing issues. + Complete minor repairs to building systems. + Perform preventive maintenance on designated equipment. + Keep inventory of all equipment stock and advise when stock is low. + Monitor contractor work throughout the facility. + Replace burned-out light bulbs and rewire lighting ballasts. + Perform other functions and duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Familiarity with electrical systems. + Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive ladder climbing. + Capability to work overhead while on a ladder for extended periods. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and general building maintenance. + Experience with boilers, chillers, and fire pumps. + Ability to handle facilities maintenance and mechanical systems. + CFC or EPA required **Schedule** The typical work shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the need to be available for on-call, after-hours, and weekend work. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
