Facilities Maintenance Technician
Facility Maintenance Technicians ensure the proper functioning, safety, and maintenance of facilities. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks from maintaining the physical infrastructure of buildings to the repair and rebuilding of machinery. These responsibilities and tasks collectively contribute to the smooth operation, safety, and longevity of the facility, creating a conducive and well-maintained environment for employees. **Key Responsibilities** + **Routine Maintenance** + Perform inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment. + Address and resolve minor issues to prevent larger problems. + **HVAC Maintenance** + Maintain and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. + Replace filters, clean ducts, and troubleshoot HVAC issues. + **Electrical Systems** + Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and fixtures. + Replace or repair faulty electrical components. + **Plumbing Maintenance** + Conduct inspections and repairs of plumbing systems. + Fix leaks, unclog drains, and repair or replace fixtures. + **Carpentry/Finish Work** + Perform basic carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture. + Install or repair building structures and framework. + Paint and finish surfaces as needed. + **Groundskeeping** + Maintain landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal. + Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of exterior spaces. + **Equipment and Machine Maintenance** + Service and maintain facility equipment and machinery. + Conduct regular checks and address equipment issues. + **Safety Inspections** + Perform inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. + Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns. + Respond promptly to urgent repair requests. + Address issues impacting safety or functionality. + **Record Keeping** + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. + Document work orders and completed tasks. + **Troubleshooting** + Diagnose and resolve issues with building systems and equipment. + Identify root causes and implement effective solutions. + **Equipment Installation** + Install new equipment and systems as required. + Ensure proper setup and functionality. + **Compliance with Regulations** + Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. + Handle and dispose of electronic waste and hazardous materials safely. + Stay updated on regulatory changes. **Qualifications:** + Prior facilities technician and or maintenance experience + Familiarity with work order management systems for receiving, updating, and closing tasks. + Proficiency in **CMMS software** for scheduling preventive maintenance, tracking equipment history, and managing inventory. + Knowledge of **Microsoft Office Suite** (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Competence in using mobile devices (smartphones/tablets) for maintenance apps and communication. + Familiarity with diagnostic and troubleshooting software, particularly for **HVAC and machinery** . + Understanding of **BAS (Building Automation Systems)** for monitoring and controlling building systems. + Basic knowledge of **CAD software** for interpreting and updating schematics. + Proficiency with diagnostic tools/software specific to equipment maintenance. + Ability to access, read, and update technical documentation using specialized software. + Ability to move around facilities for inspections, troubleshooting, and process improvements. + Precision required for assembling/disassembling equipment and handling tools. **Pay Details:** $25.00 to $35.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
