**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment and systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. Your role will involve testing, inspecting, implementing, and maintaining various equipment and structures within the facility. **Responsibilities** + Assist with performing testing, inspection, implementation, and maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures. + Perform assigned preventative maintenance on equipment such as compressors, vac pumps, exhaust fans, air handlers, vents, fan coil units, water coolers, refrigerators, and ice machines according to manufacturer specifications. + Carry out minor repairs and replacements, including replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers as necessary. + Receive and distribute materials throughout the facility. + Move items within and between locations and to/from storage, including furniture, equipment, and files. + Conduct daily rounds to provide service, repair, and maintenance on transport equipment, wheelchairs, TVs, nurse call systems, medical gas outlets, alarm panels, zone valve locations, and other assigned equipment. + Repair or replace faulty or damaged mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and boiler equipment. + Repair leaking connections, fittings, couplings, fixtures, faucets, washers, seats, stems, and valves; replace spigots, faucets, and valves; and unclog obstructed plumbing lines and fixtures. + Consult with customers on the operation and repair of non-life support patient equipment. + Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required. + Perform safety checks to comply with regulatory codes. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Skilled in using hand and power tools. + Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems. + Basic carpentry skills. **Schedule** + The position offers two openings with rotating weekend shifts: one from 7am-3:30pm and another from 3pm-11:30pm. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
