Job Description

This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

ResponsibilitiesRoutinely inspect the facility and troubleshoot and make repairs to mechanical, electrical, air conditioning, and plumbing systems, as well as structural elements on the property.Perform maintenance and minor repair activities on the interior and exterior areas of the property, including painting, drywall, structural elements, parking lot, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clearing drain stoppages, and replacing interior and exterior lighting.Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and maintain property cleanliness.Assist other departments, such as Marketing, to set up events and Local Leasing with cart placement and repair.Perform duties in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines, such as OSHA standards, to ensure a safe working environment.Schedule and perform preventive maintenance programs as assigned by management.Maintain inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools.Periodically inspect air handling units, tighten or replace belts, replace filters, and grease components while maintaining logs to document activities.Perform exterior custodial duties, including sweeping sidewalks, wet mopping, operating steam cleaners, hand vacuuming, gathering trash, emptying trash receptacles, operating compactors, and turning trash carts.Essential SkillsMinimum 2-3 years of building maintenance experience with carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing functions.Ability to read and interpret documents, plans, and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions.Ability to effectively present information to departmental management, employees, tenants, and outside contacts.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.Skills in painting, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Capability to diagnose problems on equipment.Knowledge of basic electrical systems.Knowledge of safety rules, hazards, and application of accident prevention measures.Basic knowledge of fire protection hydraulic system and fire protection alarm systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsGeneral maintenance skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.Mechanical aptitude.Ability to read schematics and blueprints.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based in a Corporate Headquarter Environment, requiring a customer service mindset. You must be able to work among tenants and customers, especially during peak hours when the mall can be very busy. Patience and adaptability are necessary to work around a high volume of people.

This is a position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
