Facilities Maintenance Technician

From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries. **1st shift: Monday - Thursday: 5AM to 3:30PM** The Facilities Technician I is expected to perform emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment while maintaining safety, communicating effectively, and training employees. **Major Responsibilities** + Learning the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline and the ability to follow company/site safety rules. + May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending the level and complexity.  Follows defined procedures and practices. + Contributes to identifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures. + Ensures Facilities are kept at expected conditions at all times. Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the facility not including the maintenance and repair of machines or production lines includes the following positions: + Facility cleaning both inside and outside + Trash and recycle removal and management + Snow removal + Grass cutting, trimming, and cleanup + Landscaping + Parking lot cleaning + ·Painting including cleaning and prepping **Minimum Job Requirements** Minimal Qualifications: + High School diploma or equivalent +  0-3 years of experience in facilities support and/or management  **Preferred Job Requirements** Preferred Qualifications: + Intermediate mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution. + Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for operation of service equipment + Preferred experience on equipment relative to assignment **Knowledge:** Knowledge of codes and regulations as they apply to industrial facilities role (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, NEC, etc.) **Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
