The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports overall business operations by maintaining and improving building systems and grounds. This role performs a variety of tasks—including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC support—to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, routine inspections, and responding to urgent facility needs.
What you will do:
Perform maintenance and repair on equipment and tools per the preventive maintenance schedule.Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including plumbing, electrical systems, fire alarms, emergency exits, and automatic doors.Assist other departments with facility-related needs and special projects.Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare required reports.Identify potential safety, health, or environmental issues and report them appropriately.Support and coordinate with third‑party contractors performing specialized services.Attend required training to maintain skills and safety knowledge.Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies.What you will bring:
Degree or coursework in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field preferred.Minimum 2 years of facility maintenance experience preferred.Basic mechanical and electrical competencies required.Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus.Self‑starter with strong preventive maintenance instincts.Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, or pulling.Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl when necessary.Comfortable working at elevated heights with fall protection.Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.You must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, floor machines).Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills for working with facility staff, contractors, and leadership.Strong problem‑solving abilities in day‑to‑day maintenance operations.Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support others.Basic understanding of building construction and systems.Familiarity with lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures and mechanical safety.Commitment to continuous improvement and proactive maintenance practices.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
