LabCorp is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Holyoke, MA. In this role you will perform maintenance throughout the laboratory which includes electrical installations, HVAC, general carpentry and plumbing.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Requirements:
High School diplomas or equivalentRelevant degree from a trade school is a plusMinimum 3 years of experience in the Building or Maintenance TradeExperience with electrical installations, carpentry, refrigeration and paintingHVAC and/or Electrical Certifications are preferredExcellent communication skills; both written and oralBasic computer and data entry skills; Excel is a plusMust be able to pass color vision testAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Job Responsibilities
Performs specialized maintenance and/or repairs, i.e., electrical installations, HVAC, general carpentry, and plumbing.Assists in maintenance of all Facility equipment, i.e., Fire Sprinkler, air handlers.Organize and complete annual fire evacuation drillTest eye wash and eye showers weeklyReview all department safety walks for accuracy and completeness.Follow up with supervisor for out of compliance items and employee non-compliance.Maintain SDS inventory (additions and deletions given to EHS Manager to update 3E)Maintain the display case with work-related safety documentsCheck that the sign off on Regulated Medical Waste logs is completePerform and maintain records for noise testing, ergonomic testing, glove accommodationsServes as work leader to coordinate workflowSubmits electronic work orders where appropriateDirects work of contracted sub-contractorPerforms specialized maintenance service of machinery/equipment or repairselectrical installations, carpentry, refrigeration and /or paintingResearch, troubleshoot and resolve problems related to repairs of facility equipmentProvide guidance to requested work orders and handles complex maintenance problems.Keeps leadership informed of progress, problems and any factors affecting assigned workMaintain files and records as required by department, company and various regulatory agenciesMaintains open lines of communication with department staffIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
