Facilities Building Utility Specialist
Job Summary:
The Facilities Building Utility will be required to perform general maintenance of all building equipment as necessary to maintain daily operations. Support the stock room and inventory fulfillment in a back-up capacity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Document Preventive maintenance or cleaning tasks as required by current version of Standard Operating ProcedureServe as a back-up for other facilities or stockroom positions as neededOversee contract employees and other support staff to ensure efficient building and equipment operationRepair/replace wall receptacles, light bulbs, switches, ballasts, motors, door locks, closers and any other facilities-related hardwareDrywall repair and paintingRefurbish and replace floorsConduct plumbing repairs such as sinks, toilet, urinals and other rest room fixturesPerform repairs and replace water, sewer and valves.Patch, paint, and replace/repair walls using standard building materials (drywall)Replace filters, belts & perform light maintenance on rooftop equipmentIssue repair parts and materials from the maintenance stock room to support production machine repairs as well as consumable items for Employee department usage and Contracted service individuals.Dispense and issue chemicals to Department personnel when requested, ensuring a work order is produced for accurate accountability.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Certification in forklift operation- Will trainProficient to advanced operational knowledge of power tools and machineryMust be computer proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn other software. Prefer knowledge of AS400 (EAM)This position requires excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.Good written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service. Good problem-solving skills.Must have a working knowledge of and practice proper use of safety and personal protective equipment.Familiar with the duties of the Facilities Building Utility and capable of performing facilities maintenance task as needed.Capable of working safely with 120-240 VACSkills necessary to repair/replace building hardware/equipmentKnowledge of plumbing repairs/troubleshooting.Work weekends and/or additional hours on weekdays as needed to accomplish position requirements.Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent2 years of maintenance experience in building equipment operation or maintenance, preferred in an industrial/manufacturing settingPhysical Demands:

The physical environment is partially indoors in a controlled climate office / warehouse / manufacturing setting. The noise level may be moderate to loud. Work will sometimes be outdoors in extreme hot/cold, wet/humid conditions. Frequent use of personal protective equipment is required to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
