Facilities Engineer

Hexcel is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer for our Kent, WA, USA location. 

This role is critical to supporting site-wide facilities engineering at a major manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will manage external engineering resources, lead design reviews, prepare bid packages, oversee projects, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Summary pay range:  $77,968 - $130,228 annual salary.
 

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Provide technical/engineering support of all operational and administrative departments, site maintenance and facilities operations to achieve optimal efficiency in manufacturing and site operations respectively. Ensure the expedient repair of facility-wide failures, and the effective maintenance of electrical, chiller, hot oil, oxidizer, and compressed air equipment to prevent failure and minimize down time.Research and develop planned enhancements for future mechanical acquisitions and stay current with new technologies and procedures.Provide overall project management of new installations and upgrades of existing systems. Arrange contract services for internal maintenance of equipment, coordinate scheduling and manage expenditures of those contracts or agreements.Provide basic internal engineering for limited electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic applications.Participate in original design and upgrades of control systems and operating process equipment such as pumps, HVAC, air compressors, cooling towers, emissions control equipment, etc.Able to work in a team environment or independently. Able to work in an office setting, in different weather condition per the seasonal weather changes. Example, warn, cool, hot, cold, dry, snow and rainy conditions.Provide engineering and technical expertise to support loss prevention recommendations sited throughout facilities. Participate in original design and upgrades of alarm and security systems. Coordinate plant security operations.Work in compliance with the Hexcel Kent Quality System and Quality Policy. Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct. Model safe working habits and champion safety in the workplace by supporting and actively engaging in the safety and environmental culture at Hexcel.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with coursework in engineering.Minimum three years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, facilities engineering preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD or equivalent software.Proven project management skills in a manufacturing (CAPEX 360 preferred) setting.Familiarity with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software and multi-axis machining centers a plus.Must be able to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for extended periods.Frequently moves within the facility to access equipment, tools, or workstations.Occasionally transports materials weighing up to 35 pounds.Regularly operates tools and equipment requiring manual dexterity.May work in varying environmental conditions including warm, cool, hot, cold, dry, snowy, and rainy weather.
