About the Role

The Facilities Engineer role involves applying mechanical or electrical engineering expertise to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and enhance the reliability of hospital utilities and systems. Responsibilities include developing specifications aligned with relevant codes, providing technical guidance to staff and administration, executing projects to improve system reliability, and serving as a problem-solving resource. The position also entails writing standards and offering technical support to ensure compliance and optimal facility operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires overall knowledge of mechanical or electrical utilities, equipment and systems.
• Requires overall knowledge of plant engineering and maintenance activities.
• Requires the ability to develop schematics and write specifications.
• Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
