Facilities Coordinator

Position Description

A Facilities Specialist performs many maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the building’s employees, ensuring that we meet operational needs and compliance standards.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·       Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of buildings and facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This includes managing cleaning, maintenance, and safety compliance.

·       Maintenance Support: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues, coordinate repairs, and manage maintenance schedules. This may involve troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

·       Vendor Management: Manage contracts with external service providers for landscaping, waste disposal, and other facility-related services, ensuring compliance with service agreements.

·       Safety Compliance: Ensure that all facilities comply with safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and conduct safety drills and inspections.

·       Budget Management: Control spending against the budget for facility operations and maintenance, adjusting with Maintenance Supervisor as necessary to meet financial goals.

·       Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency plans for disasters, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for various scenarios.


 

Education, Experience & Skills

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Proficiency with repair tools and techniques

·       4+ years in facilities management

·       Excellent organizational and time management skills

·       Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.

·       Great customer service and interpersonal skills

·       Friendly, service-oriented personality

·       Keen attention to detail

·       Problem-solving and basic troubleshooting skills

·       Proficiency with common word processing and spreadsheet software

·       Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
