Pay: $64400 - $93400 / year (paid hourly)

Location: Santana Row | San Jose, CA

We are looking for a Facilities Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for providing support for the AV conference spaces and systems.  The candidate will provide technical and general support to ensure proper availability and functionality of the AV spaces and equipment as well as immediate response troubleshooting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide white-glove technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetingsProactively identify potential AV issues and provide solutions to clients’ concerns or needsDemonstrate a strong working knowledge of video conferencing services with WebEx Board focusBring technical expertise and guidance for the deployment & operation of Crestron Flex and Polycom VTC codecPartner with Events and Facility Management teams to ensure room readiness including cleanliness, temperature and AV functionalityReview standard setup specifications for meetings and conferencesContact clients to ensure proper set up of configurable rooms per specifications (table layout, airwall opening, and closure, technology configuration including microphones & projection needed, etc.)Ensure consumables are available for the client (whiteboard markers, erasers, tissues, etc.)Maintain conference room standards for signage, equipment, and seating  Electronics troubleshooting skills – ability to determine and localize where the problem existsRespond to client requests promptly Provides support for the audio-video systems and media control systems.  Troubleshoot and maintain audio/video devices and associated wiring. Responsible for putting in tickets with IT department responsible for audio visual technologyPerform routine and proactive testing to ensure the functionality of equipment before use. Alignment and calibration procedures for audio and video devices Responsible for communicating the need for maintenance or repair of audio-visual equipmentPerform regular maintenance, software and firmware updates, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs to provide uninterrupted service of all conference room equipmentSome commissioning and programmingAny other duties and tasks assigned 

Qualifications Required

2 years’ experience in a client/customer service-oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference center2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office in an office environmentFamiliarity with integrated AV systemsAbility to learn new software as required for the positionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesMust always maintain a professional appearance and demeanorExperience with a hotel, corporate conference center, or large enterprise systems

Preferred 

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience OR High School education with 3+ years of related experienceDemonstrate the ability to perform under pressure and manage time wellExperience with EMS or any web-based conference room scheduling system preferredCTS Certification (preferred) Crestron, AMX, or Extron Certifications (preferred)DSP Programming (BIAMP, QCS) (preferred)

Estimated total compensation for this position:

64,400.00 – 93,400.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
