At Acelero Learning Delaware, we’re looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help maintain clean, well-functioning, and safe learning spaces for young children. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces in top shape and wants to make a direct impact on our classrooms and communities.

What You’ll Do

As a Facilities Assistant, you will:

Perform general maintenance and custodial services across our Head Start centers and offices.

Identify and resolve maintenance needs, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and furniture repair.

Ensure playgrounds, parking lots, and outdoor spaces are clean and hazard-free.

Support heating, ventilation, and safety systems through regular upkeep.

Help with moving and setting up furniture and equipment across multiple sites.

Distribute food and materials to Early Head Start sites as needed.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

Has hands-on skills in maintenance, repairs, and basic construction.

Works well in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being on the move.

Is reliable, resourceful, and takes initiative.

Is passionate about ensuring every child and staff member has a safe, clean, and functional space to thrive.

What You’ll Need

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Versatile experience in general repair, carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, and more

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with minimum state insurance coverage

Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs.

Basic computer skills for email and work orders

This position earns up to 35,360.00 Hourly
