Facilities Assistant
Description We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team in Santa Clara, California, on a contract basis. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our workplace by managing events, maintaining conference rooms, supporting employee relocations, and addressing facility maintenance needs. This position is essential to fostering a safe, clean, and organized environment for employees and visitors. Responsibilities: • Set up and dismantle furniture and audiovisual equipment for events while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of event spaces. • Perform regular checks of conference rooms to ensure they are stocked with supplies, clean, and fully operational. • Coordinate and execute employee relocations, including workstation setups and furniture adjustments. • Respond to facility-related requests and issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and manage inventory for facility supplies. • Conduct power washing and regular maintenance inspections to uphold cleanliness and adhere to safety standards. • Carry out building inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements, reporting issues and coordinating resolutions. • Process and prioritize work order tickets, tracking progress and providing updates to ensure efficient facility operations. • Collaborate with team members and external vendors to support facility needs and improve operational efficiency. • Assist in budget-related processes and ensure cost-effective management of resources. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facility management is advantageous. • Previous experience in facility support, maintenance, or a similar role is preferred. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively in diverse team environments. • Proficiency in basic office software and familiarity with facility management tools. • Physical capability to move heavy objects as required by the role. • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. • Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
