Facilities Assistant
Description We are looking for a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our facilities by managing events, maintaining conference rooms, coordinating employee relocations, and performing routine maintenance tasks. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating an organized, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Responsibilities: • Arrange furniture, set up audiovisual equipment, and coordinate with organizers to ensure successful event execution. • Maintain conference rooms by restocking supplies, conducting routine checks, and ensuring cleanliness and functionality. • Facilitate employee relocations, including setting up workstations and moving office furniture. • Handle facility-related inquiries and issues while performing routine maintenance and managing inventory of supplies. • Conduct regular building inspections to maintain safety standards and report issues for prompt resolution. • Carry out facility maintenance tasks such as power washing and adhering to company regulations. • Manage and prioritize work order tickets, track their progress, and provide updates to employees. • Collaborate with relevant departments to address facility needs and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in facility management are advantageous. • Previous experience in facility support, maintenance, or a related role is preferred. • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. • Proficiency in basic office software and familiarity with facility management tools. • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. • Flexibility and adaptability to handle shifting priorities and work under pressure.
