Description We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team in Lawrence & Fortville, IN. This position is ideal for someone who is skilled in general maintenance and committed to maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities. The role requires flexibility and reliability, including occasional on-call availability. Responsibilities: • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as removing trash, maintaining clean lobby areas, and ensuring floors are properly cleaned. • Conduct basic maintenance activities, including unclogging sinks, toilets, and drains, and replacing light bulbs as needed. • Coordinate with external vendors for complex maintenance issues that go beyond basic repairs. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of reported issues. • Inspect the grounds to ensure cleanliness and address any outdoor maintenance needs. • Communicate effectively with building occupants and team members to address concerns and provide updates. • Maintain flexibility in scheduling, working across multiple locations as required. • Be available for on-call duties to address urgent maintenance issues outside regular hours. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in all maintenance activities. Requirements Requirements: • Previous experience in a facilities assistant or maintenance technician role. • Proficiency in performing basic maintenance tasks, including plumbing and electrical repairs. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, residents, and vendors. • Flexibility to work across different locations and adjust schedules as needed. • Willingness to be on call for emergency maintenance situations. • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to building maintenance. • Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
