Our client, a large association in DC, is looking for a proactive Facilities Assistant to support the smooth operation of our office and events. This hands-on role combines administrative tasks with light physical work and is perfect for someone who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and keeping a space running efficiently.
What You'll Do:
* Set up and break down furniture and conference rooms for events and offices
* Manage emails, schedules, and invoices related to facilities requests
* Submit and track work orders with the engineering team
* Conduct regular building walkthroughs, identifying maintenance or IT issues
* Maintain and update documents, reports, and records
* Assist with light A/V setup and other ad hoc projects
* Execute recurring daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to keep the office operating smoothly
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Strong administrative and organizational skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use basic tools
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, or similar tools
* Knowledge of finance procedures a plus
* Excellent customer service skills for tenants, employees, and vendors
About the Position:
* Location: Washington, DC
* Schedule: Full-time on-site Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
* Compensation: $22-$23/hour while on the contract, $50k-$53k once permanent
