Assignment: 6 months (possible temp to hire)
Responsibilities:
- Develops layout and plans sequence of operations.
- Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto workpiece.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Hammers, chips, and grinds workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal. Preheats workpieces.
- Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together parts.
- Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
- Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications.
- Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.
- Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and edge planer.
- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
- Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of products.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of hand tolls for fabrication environment and some assembly knowledge.
- Operational knowledge of drill press, brake, cut off saws, etc.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customer
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume- Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
