**Job Title: Fabricator** **Job Description** Join our team as a Fabricator in the fabric/sewing department, where you'll work closely with a seasoned professional who will guide and teach you the intricacies of the job. In this role, you will learn to operate sewing machines and manage documentation for customer orders. As an O & P Fabrication Specialist, you will focus on crafting orthoses and prostheses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of fit, function, cosmetics, and workmanship. Staying updated on new fabricating techniques and understanding material properties are key aspects of this role. **Responsibilities** + Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, adhering to quality and quantity standards. + Manage ordering, receiving, and other inventory tasks as needed. + Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. + Comply with all safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with general production, fabrication, assembly, and use of hand tools. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and perform fittings. + Mechanically inclined with at least 1+ years of relevant work experience. + Excellent hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively. + Possession of a high school diploma or GED. **Why Work Here** Experience a great culture with minimal turnover, offering a long-term opportunity for growth. There are 5-6 different departments where various styles of work are conducted. The standard shift is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
