Introduction

Airswift has been tasked by one of its key clients to identify a highly experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee workshop activities at a major fabrication yard in Egypt. This is a rotational opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in subsea fabrication, welding, and yard supervision. The assignment will begin with a one-week onboarding in Paris before mobilization to Egypt.

Job Scope:

Supervise daily fabrication activities within yard workshops, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Lead and participate in production meetings and daily toolbox talks.

Enforce safety protocols, fabrication procedures, and quality standards.

Provide technical guidance and support to the fabrication workforce, including welders, fitters, blasters, painters, and riggers.

Monitor productivity and ensure optimal performance on the fabrication floor.

Ensure best industry practices are applied in all fabrication activities.

Liaise with internal teams including Fabrication Engineering, QA/QC, and HSE to ensure smooth coordination and workflow.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 20 years of experience in subsea fabrication activities.

At least 15 years in a supervisory or coordination role within a fabrication yard.

Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques including GTAW, SMAW, FCAW.

Experience in international fabrication yards and working with multicultural teams.

Previous involvement with major EPC contractors or subsea OEMs.

Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability under pressure.

Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
