Directly reporting to the Executive Director, F135 Sustainment Program Management Office (SPMO), this Leader of Leaders role has responsibility for ~30 employees and representing the F135 SPMO in several customer and internal facing technical forums. The role requires a technical background to strategically lead the collaboration with other Program disciplines, Engineering (multiple disciplines) and Customer Support Engineering (CSE) to integrate and develop logistics program management of Safety, Configuration, Reliability and Maintainability initiatives. Outcomes include, but are not limited to, the development of Fleet Readiness and/or Management plans for retrofit implementation, leading execution of modification contracts.
**What You Will Do**
+ **Integrated Sustainment Program Team (ISMT)** This cross-functional leadership role is a core member of the F135 Sustainment Program Integrated Sustainment Program Management Team.
+ **Customer Interface:** this leadership position has direct customer interface at the O-6+ and needs to act in the capacity of a deputy representative to the executive director, F135 Sustainment Program Management Office.
+ **Strategic Fleet Readiness Planning:** Representing the Program office, the role is accountable to lead the collaboration with other Program disciplines, Engineering (multiple disciplines) and Customer Support Engineering (CSE) to integrate and develop logistics program management of Safety, Reliability and Maintainability initiatives. Outcomes include, but are not limited to, the development of Fleet Readiness and/or Management plans for retrofit implementation, leading execution of modification contracts.
Develop, communicate, implement, and execute fleet management strategies to drive F135 fleet safety, reliability, and performance to program targets.
Key metrics include, but are not limited to: Inflight Shutdown (IFSD) rate, Unscheduled Engine/Module (UE/MR) rate, Non-mission Capable (NMC) rates (i.e., Supply – Module, Supply – Line Replaceable Components, Maintenance)
Support Engineering Change (PCIR) process as a quorum approver, ensuring appropriate TCTD coordination within the Program and alignment of industrial, tech data, and material required (aka Fleet Management Plans are aligned and in place to successfully execute the work with little to no disruption to fleet operations)
+ **Chair Customer Support Integrated Product Team (CSIPT) Forum:** Lead the CSIPT forum, to create, consolidate, and monitor effective and accountable sustainment readiness, configuration and technical management strategies across the sustainment key stakeholders. Utilize this forum as a tiered, working-level alignment forum for escalation into SIPT, ISMT and IPMT forums.
+ **Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (CAIPT):** Integrates with other sustainment organizations on behalf of Engineering and focuses on sustainment strategy through limit and repairs expansion, as well and addressing hardware needs for depot and unit.
+ **Repair Integration and Execution Prioritization:** Accountable to drive a capable, visible, and responsive repair enterprise value-stream that ensures critical F135 components are developed, industrialized and executing in alignment with sustainment program priorities. Ensures key objectives are progressing to plan and drives regular reports to cross-functional Vice-Presidents (currently quarterly).
+ **Business Team** manages the business activities for Fleet Management Work Breakdown Structure to plan and estimate future work, forecast manpower for future periods, monitor & control budget, scope, & schedule for active work, and monthly Earned Value reporting.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 12 years of project/program management, aftermarket, logistics, operations, or CIPT experience with a general knowledge of jet engines or An Advanced Degree with 10 years of project/program management, aftermarket, logistics, operations, or CIPT experience with a general knowledge of jet engines experience.
+ The preferred candidate will have experience with technical fleet management and sustainment-related experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Demonstrated leadership in driving complex technical issues, ability to operate in a matrixed environment and bring together stakeholders to generate and align on solutions.
+ Prior customer interfacing roles (preferably US Service and/or foreign government) and/or supplier interfacing roles, and aftermarket/sustainment experience
+ Ability to lead a large cross-functional team, strategic leadership, program/project management skills, ability to multi-task, adaptability, willingness to travel (domestic/international) at approximately 10%, strong work ethic, effective communication skills

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
