The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1,600 rooms, the cluster boasts a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool facilities. We value the passion and enthusiasm of our colleagues and encourage you to share your passion when you work with us. **A little taste of your day-to-day:** + In the absence of a manager, conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. + Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shift and logs all complaints in log book for further follow up. + Supervise cash handling and banking procedures. + Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports. + Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures. + Tackle irregular payments. + Supervise the maintenance of service equipment. + Monitor standards of guest facilities and services. + Control stock and monitor security procedures. + Assist with menu and wine list creation. + Monitoring mini bar in the rooms regularly. + Inspecting storage areas for organization and proper use of FIFO. + Supervise outlet service. + May assist with other duties as assigned. **What we need from you:** + Communication skills – guests and colleagues will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to. + Planning and analyses making skills. + Fluency in the English language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential. + Your Time management skills will be important to know how to prioritize tasks under pressure. + You’ll have basic skills of Microsoft Word/Excel. + Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job + Experience - ideally you’ll have spent at least one year in a similar position in a 5 star property + You’ll have a high school diploma or qualification.
